Cherub: Black Friday - Robert Muchamore

I'm back on my kindle for the summer holidays (British summer anyway!...) and Black Friday was a book I could not resist reading, especially as the latest Cherub is now out. (Lone Wolf, the review will be published on this blog tomorrow so watch this space!) The book is the best in series two coming from me, with old characters returning and new ones emerging! The pace is fast and action awaits you on every page.

The Blood Stone - Jamila Gavin

This was a great read! A bit confusing at times as it slides from past to present tense regularly. But other than that it is fairly easy to get through. I enjoyed this book because of the adventure and mystery it has in it. 8/10 This was an intriguing read.

The graveyard book - Neil Gaiman

Like ghosts, spirits. Graveyards? Well read the book! Winner of the Carnegie medal 2010 this book is full of mystery. Can young Bod, who has been raised in the graveyard escape the man Jack, who has already killed his family? An irresistible book, deserves to become a modern classic. 7/10 A masterpiece.

Clockwork Angel - Cassandra Clare

This is the best book I've read in a while and I must say I'm quite impressed. I was gripped to the story during the first minute of reading. An amazing plot. An amazing style of writing, I just loved this amazing book! 10/10 I can't wait to read the sequel 'Clockwork Prince'
