This reminded me of a monster calls in a way as the story has an inner message hidden in it among the writing. The story was written really well and I enjoyed the read. As you discover more about the story the more you realize how clever the plot is and how wonderfully the pieces all slot together towards the ending of this magnificent tale.

This was a great read! A bit confusing at times as it slides from past to present tense regularly. But other than that it is fairly easy to get through. I enjoyed this book because of the adventure and mystery it has in it. 8/10 This was an intriguing read.
Like ghosts, spirits. Graveyards? Well read the book! Winner of the Carnegie medal 2010 this book is full of mystery. Can young Bod, who has been raised in the graveyard escape the man Jack, who has already killed his family? An irresistible book, deserves to become a modern classic. 7/10 A masterpiece.
This is the best book I've read in a while and I must say I'm quite impressed. I was gripped to the story during the first minute of reading. An amazing plot. An amazing style of writing, I just loved this amazing book! 10/10 I can't wait to read the sequel 'Clockwork Prince'
