Alex Rider: Stormbreaker - Antony Horowitz

My only other experience of Horowitz was Horowitz Horror, tales such as the famous killer camera and even the night bus. This was a very different story however, a story of spies not monsters- The book greatly reminded me of the Cherub books, although the concept was very different, because of this different concept I feel that the young James Bond series by Charlie Higson is more alike to this tale.   I really quite enjoyed this book as it was clever, adventurous and in some places fairly witty! 10/10 Got something on your mind, is it to do with this book? If the answer in your case is yes to both answers why not comment your thoughts in below!...

Do you read lots and do you 'borrow' the ideas of other authors? I read all the time and so far I haven’t borrowed any ideas that I can recall from other authors. 4. Kiss of Life - Daniel Waters

The first one was quite good, although looking back I feel that it did drag on a little bit. Same with this one too be honest, I never put a good book down- However boring books are put down by my hands, so sorry Daniel Waters, but your second book just wasn't exciting enough for me... 3/10, Agree with me? Disagree with me? Why not say something in the comments...

War Horse - Michael Morpurgo

This is a very highly acclaimed book and film which was one of the main reasons that I chose to read it. The novel is very easy to read like all of Morpurgo's other stories, the style is very similar to his other books too. This book is written very well and the story flows so well, I think that if Morpurgo was to write a really bad book then the style of writing on its own would save the story!... 8/10 Anything to say? Say it in the comments...

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas - John Boyne

This is an incredibly moving story about a nine year old boy in world war two, although this isn't a book for nine year old's. The story with touch your heart and make you think, which is a great combination for a book... Many don't want to see the film as it may ruin the book, I know that I don't wish to see the movie anytime soon anyway, if you have already seen the film though I would still recommend reading the book first.* A great book, Boyne has created an amazing story here that deserves to become a classic... Got something to mention about this book, an opinion or question? Well head over to the comments then my friend... *Interested? Generation Dead - Daniel Waters

This was a fantastic read about the undead or 'differently biotic.' When dead teenagers decide that death just isn't what it's cut out to be, they wake up. It may sound as simple as that but it really isn't, the novel will take you through sadness, hope and friendship. Not a book that should be missed!  A thrilling YA Paranormal by Daniel Waters, and the best part- there's more to come! So stay tuned, stay tuned to The Olly Book Blog... 9/10 Got something on your mind? Something you'd like to say? Well why not say it in the comments!...

Drakes Comprehensive compendium of dragonology - Dugald A. Steer

A must have guide to all Ologists! Those specializing in Dragonology will particularly enjoy this book though, as it stores everything known about dragons inside it! Any expedition great or small may be assisted with most magnitude with this guide, if you need to get out of you base quickly so that you can observe a nearby dragon but you can't pack all of your informative books on the subject- This is the book you need!... 9/10 Another great Ology book, if you have anything to say why not say what it is in the comments....
